Children's Holiday Workshops
Beauty Sekete discussing her work during an Artists' ForumSchreiner Gallery - Fabric Collage with Beauty Sekete. Children will look at examples of appliqué work from two current exhibitions in the Gallery. They will draw shapes on paper, select the best and use them as patterns on fabric to make a glued picture, similar to Beauty's well-known fabric pictures.

Opens Schreiner Gallery - The arts have been an integral part in South Africa's fight for freedom. Artists, through their works in visual and performing arts, conveyed messages that transcended the accepted norms and conventional thinking, resulting in them being seen as catalysts in the fight for freedom.
