When starting this project I worked within the tradition of landscape, and found that Pierneef led me to a certain stylization and the whole idea of pattern and play!
Play led me to thinking about selection and placement as in the rainy day entertainment game called Fuzzy Felt which I played when I was younger. And so "Fuzzy Veld Pierneefs" emerged.
