Does art and culture matter in a post-modern world where technology is the buzzword? We all know that South African children are urged to study mathematics and science in order to fit into today's highly technological world, while parents and children often wonder about the value of studying art.

This display of works from the Gallery's permanent collection, in which art and science are married together through design, is curated by our newly appointed Education Officer, Pinky Madlabane-Nkabinde.
